I want to sell download codes that allow people to download an .mp3 file when they go to a website and enter the code.

the purpose would be selling download codes for a concert on the night, that fans can access the next day using the code.

i have had sucess with sending them to e-junkie the next day to make a purchase, but often you can get people to hand over more money if you do the transaction right after the show. i would give them a card that has the code on it for that nights show.


is this possible with e-junkie? i guess i could issue myself say 50 free download links and print out those on cards but it doesn't seem very elegant.

Your idea would work, another solution that you might want to consider is creating a series of discount codes to print out and sell at the show. They could be for a 100% discount and for one use each so that the buyer doesn't share the coupon around.

Alternately, giving potential buyers a smaller discount for free could do more to encourage them to visit your site after the show for the download and wouldn't require as much set up for several individual discounts.
