Does e-Junkie send Refund/cancelation IPN Data?

Hi,

the title says it all: I'd like to know if e-Junkie also sends an IPN notification to my server for refunds or canceled payments (chargebacks and so on)? If so how do I access those infos on my server?

Since those information are updated in the e-Junkie admin after a refund I figured you must be receiving those details from Paypal somehow and could pass them on easily. This would be very helpful for me to remove refunded customers from my databases.

Thanks

Regards,
Thomas

PayPal does inform our system when they process a refund or reversal/chargeback on a completed payment, so we can amend your Transaction Log and cancel any download links issued accordingly; unfortunately, we have no way to transmit a notification of this to your server.

Hi Thomas,

I'm wondering if you can help support one of your products that I've just purchased?

Has this changed? We'd love to be pinged anytime a transaction changes so that we can update our databse.

We're keeping a record of transactions, but we'd have to manually edit them without an IPN.

By the way, we're slowly building an E-junkie WordPress plugin (only for internal use at the moment) that captures transactions, links them to WP users, and allows us to run a membership site based off of E-junkie products. So a more robust IPN would be awesome ;)

Hello,

There's been no change in this I'm afraid. If we get a notification of a refund we will update that transaction in our records, however not all of the payment processors we work with notify us of refunds... and unfortunately those that do do not always do so reliably or in a consistent way.

If you do find a way to customize our cart to handle recurring payments (which is an often requested but not a supported or easily implemented feature) please let us know, there would be a great deal of interest in that. We have not found any way to make that happen given the current nature of our system, however, and our main development focus is still on re-writing our admin interface outside of Flash.
