I am trying to hard-code a tracking pixel provided to me by an Affiliate Program (Commission Junction Marketplace) and I need to know how to get e-junkie to dynamically populate the tracking pixel with a unique Order ID. See code below: <img src="https://www.emjcd.com/u?AMOUNT=[AMOUNT]&CID=[ENTERPRISEID]&OID=[OID ]&TYPE=[ACTIONID]&CURRENCY=[CURRENCY]&METHOD=IMG" height="1" width="20"> I have to populate all of the information between "[ & ]". What I need from you, would be the information to populate the "[OID]" part. This unique Order ID (per transaction) will allow us to accurately track successful sales that qualify for a commission. Thank you in advance, Kevin # POSTED ON: March 10, 2010 @ 14:58 GMT -7 |

You would probably want to use [%txn_id%] for the unique Transaction ID generated by the payment processor for each completed payment. Other template variables you can use in your E-junkie thank-you page are documented here: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.custom.thankyou-page.htm However, if you're intending to place this tracking pixel code in your E-junkie thank-you page, bear in mind that we cannot control checkout behaviors on a third-party payment processor's site such as paypal.com, so we are unable to force them to auto-redirect buyers to any thank-you page after they complete checkout. If you aren't selling downloads (in which case the buyer has an incentive to visit their thank-you page at some point, where they would claim their download), you may not be able to track conversions accurately via thank-you page visits. The top of this page explains which payment methods can and cannot auto-redirect buyers to a thank-you page: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.tracking.htm Have you considered just using our own, built-in affiliate system? That tracks all affiliate conversions and commissions quite accurately via our back-end order-handling system without depending on unreliable thank-you page visits: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.affiliates.htm # POSTED ON: March 10, 2010 @ 18:52 GMT -7 |

Thanks Tyson. I still need a little help. Google Checkout does provide the ability to enable third party conversion tracking. They (GC) said I need to check with my third-party shopping cart provider to find out where I can enter the conversion tracking URL for tracking conversions on Google Checkout orders. Can you provide any insight? Thanks in advance. # POSTED ON: March 15, 2010 @ 07:19 GMT -7 |

I think that would be referring to our standard Google Checkout integration, so they can inform our system when they have completed processing a payment, since in that case E-junkie is the "third party" from their perspective: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/google-checkout-shopping-cart.htm#help # POSTED ON: March 15, 2010 @ 14:04 GMT -7 |
