I have searched the forum and cannot find clear instructions on how to accomplish what I need. I need to offer a free shipping (US lower 48) code for a single product (not cart wide). I do not need the customer to be able to enter both a discount code and a free shipping code, just one or the other. Is this possible?

A product specific discount can only give a specific flat amount, if your shipping and handling is a flat rate that never changes this can be done with a product specific discount that equals your shipping rate.

What kind of shipping set up do you have?
