Hi guys, I've checked that my affiliates will get their own id and code etc, but the link that they link to (the hop page) which is my product sales page on my site, how does the code track that sale, because after clicking the affiliate code and then the click redirecting me to the sales page on my site it simple shows the page url without their affiliate code? Let me explain a bit clearer, usually when you click an affiliate link it will look like this www.mysaleslandingpage.com/4747AFFILIATE-LINK but mine is looking normal like www.mysaleslandingpage.com with out the added affiliate code so I'm wondering how the sale is tracked properly? # POSTED ON: April 28, 2010 @ 08:30 GMT -7 |

The way the E-junkie's affiliate system works is when a buyer clicks on an affiliate link it adds a cookie to the buyers web browser. When the buyer checks out, our system checks for the cookie and if it finds one it registers the sale as being connected to the affiliate. The cookie last until the buyer deletes it, the buyer clicks on a different affiliate's hop link and it gets replaced or after 6 months it will automatically be removed from the buyers we browser. # POSTED ON: April 28, 2010 @ 10:07 GMT -7 |

And if the buyer has cookies disabled? # POSTED ON: April 28, 2010 @ 10:11 GMT -7 |

Our entire shopping cart is cookie based, as are all that I am aware of. For online shopping it is much easier to store a customer's current order data on their computer rather than keep it on our end. We don't know if they are going to complete the order or abandon it, after all. If a buyer has their cookies completely disabled for some reason they wouldn't even be able to make a purchase, let alone track an affiliate's referral. It's not just online shopping carts--if a buyer is surfing with cookies off there's a wide range of internet features that won't work as a result. # POSTED ON: April 28, 2010 @ 10:24 GMT -7 |
