Hello! Thanks for this great shopping cart, once I figured the shipping out and got things running, it's been working really well for my band site. That said, I have one big problem: because postal rates are so high, I have offered fans the option to choose "media mail" when they are buying CDs and Vinyl. In spite of the fact I have written warnings on the site that media mail is ONLY available for audio purchases - people are going ahead and mixing and matching - basically, adding apparel (ie a tshirt or hoodie) to their vinyl or CD purchase, and then selecting "Media Mail" as their shipping option - probably because nothing in the checkout process prevents them from physically doing so. I don't want to stop offering the option of Media Mail shipping to people, because the option of cheap rates REALLY helps sales, especially with vinyl records, because they are so heavy. But I am losing money by covering the difference when people buy a tshirt with their record. It's a real pain to contact people and ask them to send more money for shipping - it's time consuming and bad for my business, especially when I'm having to ask them to send me only $1.50. But the losses are adding up, and I see no way in e-junkie to restrict access to Media Mail. Is something that you all could address in the software? Or do you have a solid work-around you can suggest to me? It's the only big hole in the checkout process I cannot find a solution to, and it's becoming a big problem for us. Thanks for all your hard work! Sincerely, Sherry F. S. # POSTED ON: April 29, 2010 @ 18:44 GMT -7 |

I will pass on a suggestion to our development team to include a way to make shipping rules only apply to specific products. At this time there is not a way to make one shipping rule apply to only two products, and a shipping rules apply to all products, including those two. # POSTED ON: April 30, 2010 @ 09:49 GMT -7 |
