Since my E-junkie data doesn't show up in Google shopping I created a data feed Text (Tab delimited) for Google Merchant Center for my products for sale. Now, I am going to set up tax and shipping in Googles merchant center. Will this interfere with my tax/shipping settings in E-junkie? If so, I am guessing I need to use/select "Sell your content using another merchant's Checkout account." within Google Checkout Settings??? If that's the case then what is my my E-junkie merchant ID? Thanks! Shawn # POSTED ON: May 27, 2010 @ 14:23 GMT -7 |

Hi Shawn, I'm not sure about what will need to be done on Google Checkout's end to keep any tax and shipping settings you create there from interfering with your E-junkie settings. I would generally recommend using just one or the other, but the option you mention sounds like it would disable your GC settings for sales that are coming from us. You can view your E-junkie ID by logging in and going to Seller Admin > View Account Summary. (Your ID is 90474) # POSTED ON: May 28, 2010 @ 12:18 GMT -7 |

Thanks E-JunkieMonster! hmmm... Let me re-read in a couple days and get back to you. Last night I changed the data to auto uploading to Google Merchant. Before then when I found my items in Google Shopping it would provide a link to my websites "market" Now when I find my items I just get description, picture, cost but NO links to buy. Think I read give it at least 24hrs. With the merchant id 90474. In Google Merchant Center>settings>checkout there is a radio button labeled "Sell your content using another merchant's Checkout account." This is where you put Google's idea of a merchant id. When I put my merchant id in there (90474) Google's response is "There is no merchant with this ID" Damn, never mind the last statement. That's to link up to another Google Merchant id. Gosh it's beer thirty! # POSTED ON: May 28, 2010 @ 13:14 GMT -7 |

E-junkie claims it uses Google base on front page advertising and in instructions. There is no Google base btw... Canned responses I read from forums is "we submit your data to Google what they do with data is out of our hands". Then don't brag as this being Google friendly. When I go into E-junkie shop and search my product Texas Butter there is no results. Yet I can see my products in my view shop window. I guess if I was going to buy my own product this would be great. If E-junkie is falling apart please let us know so we can waste time elsewhere. E-junkie is still listed with Google as a cart and I don't understand why. Since it is in Googles hands I will ask why. So far the best I can tell is to not link Google and E-junkie together. Create Google cart and reap the benefits with your products listed. If you keep E-junkie just use it for Paypal or cc. # POSTED ON: May 30, 2010 @ 00:47 GMT -7 |

Google Base still exists, but apparently they have split off the product-data portion of it and rebranded that as Google Merchant Center, so I've updated the mentions our help pages accordingly. We do still submit Marketplace product listings to Google by that method, regardless of what name they're calling it this year. Your products do appear in Google Shopping (formerly Product Search), though it appears they have determined that your Marketplace products are merely duplicates of products already listed on your own site, so they are only choosing to list the latter: http://www.google.com/products?hl=en&q="Texas+Butter" Note that this is distinct and separate from Google Search indexing, which Google handles entirely on their own, so we have no influence over that whatsoever. These are also different from Google Checkout, which is unrelated to Google Shopping (Product Search) and Google Search. You can see your Marketplace listings do appear in a Google search here: http://www.google.com/search?q=%22Texas+Butter%22+inurl%3Ae- junkie.com%2Fshop%2F+site%3Ae-junkie.com # POSTED ON: May 30, 2010 @ 18:58 GMT -7 MODIFIED ON: May 30, 2010 @ 18:59 GMT -7 |
