No more redirection to download page?

Hey there! :-)

I just created a new product - and have done some "test-buys". And I got 2 issues:

1) When Paypal is completed, there is no automatic redirection to e-junkie download page... how come? I have to "complete purchase"...

2) I used a memberwing notification url - but actually there is no data sent to the notification url... (I double checked spelling etc...) - any ideas?!

Thanks and many greetings,

André

Does the test transaction show up in your transaction log? (Seller Admin>View/Download Transaction Log)

If it does not then the reason that you were not directed to the thank you page and the data was not sent is because E-junkie was never notified of a completed transaction by the payment processor.

Okay, that indicates the we received IPN (instant payment notification) from PayPal informing us about those sales, so we did process those orders for you.

PayPal checkouts do not provide any way to auto-redirect the buyer anywhere after the end of checkout; they only present a "Complete Purchase" link the buyer must choose to click manually to proceed.

If you need the buyer to visit a certain page after checkout, you can put that in a thank-you email, so they have a way to reach your page in case they don't choose to proceed after checkout. This page explains how to customize your thank-you emails:
http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.custom.thankyou-email.htm

Now, as for the notification URL, are you using the Common Notification URL setting (in your E-junkie Seller Admin > Account Preferences) that would send the order data to that URL for all orders regardless of the product(s) purchased, or have you enabled the option to "Send payment data to a URL" in a specific product's settings and entered your URL in the "Payment variable information URL" field for that product? Make sure you are providing a complete Web address there starting with http://...etc.

Hey! :-)

I use a customized email - I just thought that in the past I was directly redirected to the e-junkie download page after purchase in paypal. But that's okay, since my buyers receive a detailled e-mail with dl- instructions.

For the notification url: I checkend the field "Send payment data to url" and provided a complete url (with http and everything! ;-) ) in the payment variable url field on the second site. So I don't find the error... any more ideas?!

For other products I use the payment url for aweber - and it works fine. Although it sometimes takes multiple hours until aweber is informed.

Greetings,

André

update:

I just tested the notification url I am using in e-junkie. I just entered it into my browser - and got a record in my logfile. So the notification url seems to work. It just doesn't seem to get notfified by e-junkie?!

Greetings,

André

When we send the data to the notification URL, we send it via POST, so please ensure you are checking for POST data. If you are, then please e-mail us your transaction ID.

In a nutshell, there are two methods of submitting data to a URL: GET and POST. Our Integration submissions use POST, so if the script you're using to receive the data expects to receive data by the GET method, it won't work.

I think MemberWing is at least familiar with us, so if you're having problems getting their membership script to receive order data from us, I'd suggest contacting them to troubleshoot how you've got their script set up for your site.

Hey there! :-)

I contacted them yesterday and this is what I got for an answer:

"See __log.php in new memberwing's pro directory - if there is any purchase event has been recorded on it.
If not: manually enter script URL in the browser and see if __log.php file got updated inside memberwing's directory. Every time script got hit - __log.php records an entry. Make sure it happens - this will verify that your script URL is correct and directory is writable.

If that works but you still do not get notification about the purchase event - contact e-junkie support and tell them that purchase notification is not being delivered to your script. It might be something on their end or somehow notifications got disabled in your e-junkie account.

Gleb "

I'll ask again for the POST / GET method.

It's kinda weird, because there is an official e-junkie integration in their back-end. They even got an own notify-ejunkie.php

I'll keep you updated! :-)

Greetings, André

MY BAD!! SORRY!!!!

Oh man, this is embaressing... I had the "bad behavior" plugin in wordpress activated, which prevents spambots from accessing my website... and also e-junkie... sorry again!!

But good to know - bad behavior plugin is a no-go for notification urls...

Thanks again for your patience and support!!! :-)))
