Inventory Management

I have a product that has variants affecting price (size) and variations that tell more about the product (fabric). I have limited quantities for both size and fabric. I checked the Inventroy Control checkbox. On the Define Variants screen I have the two different sizes and have included the Stock number for each size, which is 12. However I have 6 of one fabric and 6 of another. The fabric options are on the next screen. How is the inventory management system supposed to know how many of each fabric I have and deduct it for my inventory as it's sold?

Thanks for your help.
Tim

You would need to include the fabric choices in your Variants configuration, rather then putting them as Variants, and specify the stock for each possible combination of size and fabric. E.g., you would have Variants config lines something like this, where Option1Name is "Fabric" and Option2Name is "Size":

SampleSKU RS,58.00,0.00,6,Red,Small,
SampleSKU RL,52.00,0.00,6,Red,Large,
SampleSKU BS,51.00,0.00,6,Blue,Small,
SampleSKU BL,53.00,0.00,6,Blue,Large,
