Hello, My client's site uses ejunkie and paypal standard to process payments. She has been receiving feedback from her customers that the customise purchase options button (handled after the paypal purchase on the thank you page) is very hard to see - paypal has changed their styles /layout and the customise button is much smaller now. Is it possible to customise the purchase before going to paypal so that we are not reliant on the customers looking for the customise button? At the moment the shopping flow is: 1. Customer shops and adds items to ejunkie cart (in our site) 2. Customer checks out of ejunkie cart to Paypal site 3. Customer pays in paypal 4. Customer clicks on the 'customise your purchase' button and is returned to a thank you page with a form that enables customising the purchase. So, could the shopping flow change to? 1. Customer shops and adds items to ejunkie cart (in our site) 2. Customer customises purchase and form is sent from our site 3. Customer checks out of ejunkie site to paypal site 4. Customer pays in paypal 5. Customer is returned to a thank you page. FYI - The customise info includes and has no character or word limits: + Your Name * + Your Phone Number * + Your Email + Baby's Name * + Personal Message + Delivery Name * + Delivery Address * + How did you hear about us question I guess the question is, can ejunkie process that customise info before going to paypal - or interact with our form before going to paypal. If not, have you any suggestions on how we could improve the customer experience? Thanks in advance. Nick # POSTED ON: August 5, 2010 @ 19:09 GMT -7 MODIFIED ON: August 5, 2010 @ 19:10 GMT -7 |

We don't have any way to insert a custom form in between the customer taking their cart to checkout and actually reaching the checkout page, but perhaps you could accomplish what you need by combining the Shipping/Buyer's Address with product-based Variations: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.variants.htm The buyer's name and email are always collected at Checkout (you can make Phone required in your PayPal account settings), and enabling the product's Shipping/Buyer's Address setting in your E-junkie Seller Admin will trigger collection of a delivery address during checkout. When you enable "Variations which tell more..." in the product's settings, you can define up to three option names (e.g. "Baby's Name", "Personal Message", and "How did you hear about us?"), and below that for each option you can either provide a list of buyer-selectable values (advisable for the "How did you hear" option) or just leave the list blank to have buyers enter their own text. When you save these settings and reach the button codes screen for the product, the Add to Cart code provided will automatically include the necessary field(s)/menu(s) for your Variation options. # POSTED ON: August 10, 2010 @ 18:54 GMT -7 |

Sorry for the delay, I have been away.... Thanks for the excellent response E-junkieGuru. It sounds like we really need 6 product variants (colour is already used) for it to work. We'll have a think about it. Thanks again. # POSTED ON: September 4, 2010 @ 14:30 GMT -7 |
