Hi all, I'm testing my shop buttons and cart before opening it. Everything works fine in the cart, except Paypal only seems to be adding the lowest amount of shipping, not any other amount. For example, if I purchase pretending I'm from Australia, it adds the $5.00 amount. If I purchase pretending I'm from USA, UK, or New Zealand (the other places I'll ship too), it still only adds on the $5.00 rather than the $9.00 shipping for these countries. The right amounts show up in the cart, just not when I sign in to Paypal. Is this because my friend's Paypal account (using it for testing) has an Australian address? If not, any ideas? Thanks, Linda. # POSTED ON: October 2, 2010 @ 03:39 GMT -7 |

PayPal's checkout system will automatically recalculate shipping based on the actual shipping address the buyer provides during checkout: http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/topic/4411 Thus, if you select a foreign destination in the cart where your foreign shipping rate is applied before checkout, but then you proceed to checkout using a PayPal account with an Australian shipping address, PayPal would contact our system to recalculate shipping, resulting in the Australian rate being applied to the order total for payment. # POSTED ON: October 3, 2010 @ 18:29 GMT -7 |
