Free Course and E-Junkie Affiliates

I'm working on a new product, and the plan is to use a sort of "horizontal sales letter" in the form of a free email course. The people get some emails explaining the product and some free parts of the product itself.

Here's the question:
There will be an affiliate program on this product. If someone comes to the site through an affiliate link, signs up for the email, then buys 5 days later, will that affiliate still get credit?

From what I found, it seems that the e-junkie cookie stays valid for 6 months. So that affiliate would get credit. Is this true? Just want to make sure.

Thanks in advance for the help!
-Chris
