Hello The last few months I have seen many customers that use outlook encountering a problem with the download links provided by e-junkie. when clicked they are set to expire instantly. When they use the same link and copy and paste it in the browser bar all is OK. Is there anything that i can do to prevent this from happening? (apart from telling them to copy and paste the link) and is there somebody that can explain to me the logic about all this, as I personally do not really understands why this happens. Thanks, Menno # POSTED ON: January 9, 2011 @ 18:08 GMT -7 MODIFIED ON: January 9, 2011 @ 18:10 GMT -7 |

I had 3 sales today with the same symptoms, expired links moments after they order. I don't know if they are outlook or not. # POSTED ON: January 10, 2011 @ 01:23 GMT -7 |

That sounds like some sort of antivirus or other security scanning software may be pre-fetching links to look for computer security risks; each of those automated checks on the link would count as a download Attempt, which could expire the link sooner than anticipated. We would suggest increasing the number of Attempts you allow for each download product. This help page covers the matter of unexpected link expiration in more detail: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/trouble.downloads.expired.htm # POSTED ON: January 10, 2011 @ 14:39 GMT -7 |
