I don't have products to sell but instead need users of my website add funds to their account. So they would be able to enter an amount and pay with their credit card, paypal, etc. I wanted to be notified instantly so I can immediately update their account and allow them to enjoy my site. Is this something E-junkie can do? Allowing recurring payments would be nice too. Thanks.

Sure, E-junkie can handle the variable payments. All you need to do it to is to set the product price to 0.00 while adding your product in E-junkie admin and the ADD TO CART button you get will let your users enter their own amount and checkout using the payment methods you have seleceted (paypal standard, paypal pro, google checkout, authorize.net)
