Am considering moving from Paypal to Dwolla (http://www.dwolla.com). It would be great if e-junkie supported Dwolla. # POSTED ON: February 15, 2011 @ 05:33 GMT -7 |

These are the payment services we currently support: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.payment.processors.htm Please understand that adding support for a new payment service is not something that we can do quickly nor easily; indeed, it's one of the most difficult and time-consuming tasks we can undertake, so we have to consider whether the benefits of a prospective new payment processor would be broad enough for a wide enough number of merchants to return our considerable investment in time and effort required to support it. We can at least add your request to the wishlist for consideration as a possible new feature. # POSTED ON: February 15, 2011 @ 15:08 GMT -7 |

Looks like Dwolla is the next big thing. Please support it. The fee per transaction is 25 cents, which would save me a mint. I like e-junkie, but may simply use Dwolla's free offsite gateway instead of a shopping cart altogether. +1 # POSTED ON: January 11, 2012 @ 15:02 GMT -7 |

It's approaching about a year now since the initial request for Dwolla support was made. At 25 cents per transaction it's much more cost effective for businesses. How goes the debate over new payment systems to integrate? Did Dwolla make the cut? # POSTED ON: January 30, 2012 @ 15:18 GMT -7 |

Right now Development is focusing on the new Seller Admin project, then once that is completed, we can consider adding new payment processors and other new features and functionality. Our current, Flash-based Admin has become too complex and crufty to modify readily without breaking it in unexpected ways, and the new Admin is being built in DHTML to allow wider compatibility and greater ease of ongoing modification, so any feature that requires modifying the Admin panel (such as adding settings to use a new payment processor) simply has to wait until the new Admin is ready. # POSTED ON: January 30, 2012 @ 16:53 GMT -7 |

Is a copy and pasted response is better than none at all? # POSTED ON: January 30, 2012 @ 16:58 GMT -7 |

Indeed. That was my reaction as well. Although, I wasn't necessarily expecting a response, so one is better than none. That said, a quick search of the forums for the phrase "DHTML" shows that the new admin has been used as an excuse since June 2011, 8 months verging on 9. This search shows that it delays other things like shipping method variations, buyer interaction issues, etc. Things are just stockpiling behind this delay. The first post where things are noted as delayed can be found here: http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/topic/5262 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------- "In summary, rest assured Development is aware of the desirability of this functionality, so they're seriously considering how best to approach implementing it, and many new, long-delayed features are also in the works, just currently backed-up behind the dam of our new DHTML-based Seller Admin that would allow you to manage those features and allow us to add new functionality more frequently in the future." # POSTED ON: June 14, 2011 @ 19:53 GMT -7 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------------- If it was delayed 8 months ago, what does that say about now? # POSTED ON: January 30, 2012 @ 17:20 GMT -7 |

I did actually type out that response manually. :^) Suffice to say, the amount of time this project has taken indicates the mind-bending level of complexity involved. We've tried hiring a succession of assistant developers to help out who didn't pan out as intended; finding qualified Dev talent willing to work for what we can afford to pay and actually stick around has been an ongoing challenge. Our Founder has even said if he could have done just one thing differently in E-junkie's history, he would have chosen not to build the Admin in Flash, due to the growth challenges it presented further down the line, namely now. Things have also been delayed by our Founder and Lead Developer last year having assumed stewardship of the family business which owned 19.5 Degrees, the company he'd founded to operate E-junkie; you may have noticed our company name recently changed to that of the larger family business, Sine Info Ventures Pvt. Ltd. That transition is mostly squared away now, so he's been able to return fuller attention to Dev projects recently. We thank all our clients for your patience and understanding as we clear this major hurdle to start making E-junkie even better than ever. # POSTED ON: January 31, 2012 @ 18:20 GMT -7 |

We're still working on the new Admin project every day, but we don't have any particular plans to integrate Dwolla quite yet. However, once we get to the point where we can consider adding any new payment processors at all, Dwolla would be one of our top picks. # POSTED ON: June 26, 2012 @ 14:10 GMT -7 |
