We are interested in giving away a free download code for mp3s at our shows to anyone who spends over $15.00 in merch - we'd like to just hand them a business card with the download code on it - is this possible to do on e-junkie? Thanks! # POSTED ON: March 10, 2011 @ 18:04 GMT -7 |

Yes, absolutely. You can use our discount feature to make a series of one-use codes for a free download that you can then print up onto business cards to pass out at shows. Our help page for the discount feature is here: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.discounts.htm # POSTED ON: March 11, 2011 @ 10:36 GMT -7 |

Okay - thanks. What I don't understand is how to tell the people to redeem the code that I give them on the card - where do I point them (URL wise) to redeem the code? Is it supposed to be to a page on your site, or do I set up a button on OUR website? # POSTED ON: March 11, 2011 @ 21:03 GMT -7 |

Using our discount feature would require also using our shopping cart to sell your downloads. The discount codes you distribute can be used to waive the price of one song track in general or just discount the price on a specific track and other visitors to your site would be able to pay to download the music. We would recommend using our cart on your website directly for the best results but if you are not able to it would still be possible to set up listings within our marketplace. To get started I recommend signing up for a free trial account if you have not already done so, and this help page here can get you on the path to setting up your products in our system: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.sell.htm # POSTED ON: March 12, 2011 @ 17:35 GMT -7 |

I did something similar with a product that I sell online for $49. When I hand out my business card, on the back I have a discount code that the recipient can use to access it for free. I want to preface this next comment by saying that I'm not suggesting that you purchase the product or download it for yourself. Rather, I want to share with you want I put on the back of my business card so that it may inspire you to do something similar (or better!): Here's what's on the back of my card: "Discover how to get more people to eagerly buy what you sell . . ." Visit: www.5salessecrets.com Enter Discount Code: IncreaseMySalesNow "to get your Free 90-minute audioclass & companion action guide" When they go to the website and click the button, it takes them to my shopping cart, where they can enter the code and voila! Instant Access :-) Hope that helps. # POSTED ON: March 13, 2011 @ 22:15 GMT -7 |

That's a great idea - Is there a way I can tie that into my pre-sale? When people go to our website they do the following: They click the pre-sale hyperlink to go to the pre-sale page, which explains what they are getting and when for the presale. After they click the "buy now" button, they are taken to paypal, and they fill out their info for checkout. There is nowhere to enter any sort of "discount code" or "promo code" on the paypal page. Does that mean I cannot use the paypal page as I have been? Do I need to use the e-junkie version of the shopping cart? Can someone visit our website and possibly advise me the best way to work a discounted version of our presale into the existing page? http://www.isaacjamesband.com/page:pre_sale thanks! # POSTED ON: March 19, 2011 @ 06:43 GMT -7 |

Yes, you will want to use the e-junkie shopping cart. What you need to do is upload the digital version of the CD to e-junkie (There are some paid plans on e-junkie that allow you to host on your own server, as well). Then, the visitor to your web site can purchase the CD and will also receive the digital version. The thank you page will have a specific download link unique to that person who makes the purchase. You can do this all on your existing page. Just add the e-junkie button in place of the PayPal one. E-junkie integrates with PayPal, so your visitors will actually make the payment via PayPal just as has always been the case. They will just initially use the e-junkie shopping cart. # POSTED ON: March 19, 2011 @ 07:16 GMT -7 |
