along apply automatically book buttons code copies customer customers discount don down drop ejunkie email example explains field help higher hoping item leaving lost lower matter offering order over page price pricing problem product product-specific purchased purchases reading selling series settings site sounds threshold variable
I'm hoping someone on here could help me with a pricing problem I'm having.
We are currently selling books on our site. We would like to do a tier discount for bulk order purchases. Pricing would be different for each book.
3-4 copies are 22.50 each
5-10 copies are 19.50 each
and so on....
3-4 copies are 11.95 each
5-10 copies are 9.95 each
We will be offering discounts all the way up to about 800 copies. Every so many will be in a different tier.
Right now we have them set p to be purchased in groups of 25 but that leaves us with tons of product buttons all over the order page, customers are getting confused and annoyed if they only need 34 they have to order 50. I don't need a long drop down selection ranging from 1-800 either. There is already a visible quick look pricing chart for them to see the discount breakdowns.
We would like for the customer to just be able to add the amount they want and the calculation to be automatic with ejunkie.
How do I do this?
I've looked at the variable and I'm completely lost as to how that works.

I think I've already replied to an email from you about this matter, but here's what I said in case anyone else with the same concern is reading along here:
It sounds like you could set up a series of automatic product-specific discounts for each book title. Item-based discounts modify the per-item price of the item, and you can set a Min. Item Qty. threshold for each discount. By leaving the Discount Code field blank, the discount would apply automatically to any order that meets its minimum threshold for that item's quantity. Discounts with higher thresholds would override those with lower thresholds. This help page explains our discount settings; let us know if you need more specific instructions:
