Parsing with AWeber

I want to add my customers to my AWeber list/s so that I can follow up with them and get testimonials etc.

A colleague told me that to do this I must:

In product configuration, Check the box for Send Transaction Data to a url
and
In More options, complete Payment Variable Information URL with a special code like this:

http://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/o_plug.php?&aweber=my-list@aweber.com

and substitute 'my-list' with the appropriate list name.

But this does not seem to be working.
I am not sure whether that code is correct?
How can I check it?

This help page section details our Aweber integration:

You've got the basics right, but note that you can also use the URL in a Common Notification URL (rather than each product's Payment Variable Info URL) if you just want all buyers subscribed to your list.

Buyers using PayPal Website Payments Standard should always be opted-in automatically (since PayPal's checkout site does not provide for an opt-in/-out preference), but other checkout methods will require the opt-in in order for their details to be submitted to Aweber. For buyers who opt-in, Aweber will send them a confirmation email with a link they must click to confirm their wish to subscribe.
