paypal email error message

My Paypal email doesn't appear in the Account Profile page but when I try typing it in I get an error message in red in the bottom left corner of the page that tells me the email is already in use. When I check the account summary page the email appears there.

The Paypal Standard button is greyed out.

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong.

I had two accounts at one time (long story). I'm wondering if this has something to do with it.

Just to mention...I have a traumatic brain injury from a car accident so that means I can get confused easily and I have memory problems.

Thanks for your patience.
Winnie

Yes, that "PayPal Email already in use!" notice means that another account in our system is already using the PayPal Email you're trying to enter in your E-junkie profile screen. Any given PayPal Email can only be used by one E-junkie account at a time, as that's how we line up which E-junkie account's products go with the incoming payment notifications we receive from PayPal.

You can remove the PayPal Email from your other account, which should free it up for use with your subscribed account. If you don't recall the login for that other account, we can look that up for you. Just email our support team to tell us which PayPal Email you wish to use:
https://www.e-junkie.com/ej/contact.php

View Account Summary just shows which PayPal email is sending us subscription payments for your account, which can be unrelated to the PayPal Email where you are accepting checkout payments from your buyers.

thanks for clearing that up. I'm going to have to contact support because the other account seems to be using a different email for paypal. I had two accounts -- a personal one and a business one -- and since the stuff I was selling were related to two different websites (a hobby site and my business) I wanted to keep them separate.

Thanks for your help.
