Product ID

Hello -

I have one product that I want to sell to two or three different groups of traffic on my website. Is there an easy way to assign multiple tracking IDs to the same product, so I can see which group of traffic results in the most sales?

For instance, sales from Group A would be marked Product (A). Sales from Group B would be marked Product (B). It's the same product, but this way I would be able to see which group of traffic generates the most sales.

I've read the help and can't seem to find a way to do this.

Thanks

You could append either custom or Variations-style values to the URLs of the purchase buttons each traffic group would use, as explained here:

If you don't need to attach different tracking IDs for different products, it would probably be easiest to just add the &custom= parameter to your product's button URLs. E.g., if each group is being directed to different purchase pages, the buttons on each page could be hardcoded with different &custom= values to identify the type of traffic that lands there, or you could direct all traffic to the same page where your own scripting in the page would dynamically append the proper &custom= value to each buyer's button.
