Can I use PayPal Payments Advanced account with e junkie or do I need the pro account?

If you are primarily selling downloads, you may be interested in using E-junkie with the PayPal for Digital Goods checkout flow, which can allow PayPal checkout within an overlay on your site for buyers who already have a PayPal account (buyers without a PayPal account would be taken to PayPal's checkout site, as usual for PayPal Payments Standard):

And why is that? I'm sure theres a good reason but if you can do paypal standard and paypal pro???

Its dissapointing over here. Now I have to pay PalPal $30 a month instead of $5 to be your customer? I clicked on your link through Paypal because you were a recommended company by Paypal. Now I have to look for a different shopping cart company that will accept my money.

I recommend you work on accepting it.

You don't have to use PayPal Payments Pro (their $30/mo service); you can just use E-junkie with PayPal Payments Standard, like the vast majority of our sellers do. The only fee PayPal charges for their Standard service is the transaction fee they take out of each payment you receive. Honestly, this is the first we've heard of PayPal Payments Advanced (our PayPal liaison hasn't even mentioned it to us yet), so we'll look into whether that could possibly work with our service or not. Apparently the only difference that Advanced offers over Standard is some sort of checkout screen that can appear inside your own site, so we'd probably need to modify our shopping cart script to handle that, unless it requires a "licensed" e-commerce software package installed on your own server, which wouldn't work with a "hosted" e-commerce service like E-junkie that's centrally-managed on our servers instead of being installed on yours.
