Is it possible to charge customers based on their zip code? The products on the website I am working on all have a flat delivery rate of $10 except for the ones delivered in the shop's own city (This is for a flower shop.) I know it's possible to charge customers different flat rates by using the shipping container options, but in this case that solution will not work. Thank you for any help! # POSTED ON: April 26, 2012 @ 19:53 GMT -7 MODIFIED ON: April 26, 2012 @ 19:55 GMT -7 |

We can apply tax rates based on the zip code, but unfortunately our shipping feature can only get as narrow as a specific state rather than a city, county or zip code. Were you looking to create a pick up option for local buyers? You can still do that by creating a shipping rule for the $10 rate in your state and a separate rule that uses the free "Pickup" rate in the Shipping Rate Calculator menu. That would allow buyers in your state to select one or the other option in the shopping cart, with the free option clearly marked as a pickup so that people outside the city do not select it accidentally. # POSTED ON: April 27, 2012 @ 12:37 GMT -7 |
