Sigh - More Conversion Tracking

Hey guys,

I'm on a wordpress site www[dot]landmanbrokers[dot]com.

I have included your google tracking code in my site, and I'm using the add to cart/view cart buttons on my site. I can't seem to get the conversion tracking in analytics to work for me though... Can anyone have a look and see if they see something wrong?

I obviously really want to know what traffic source my conversions are coming from. I do see the folks hitting this address "/www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?c=cart&i=1148610&cl=223877&ejc=2" in my content drilldown, I assume this is when they click the buy/add to cart button...

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

The URL you referenced is an Add to Cart button for Item Number 1148610.

Bear in mind that browser cookie and javascript settings can interfere with analytics-style tracking; also, non-download sales are unlikely to track conversions and Ecommerce Tracking data consistently, because in that case the buyer has no incentive to ever visit a thank-you page where conversion/ecommerce tracking would be engaged. See these FAQ pages for a more thorough discussion of the topic:

I am selling a download product. I also recently had a google checkout sale and that didn't convert either, curiously. Any suggestions on where to start, I reviewed the links but they didn't shed light on where the issue may be.

It appears you have added some extra GA tracking code to your E-junkie-generated thank-you pages, in the "Message (HTML)" field of each product's settings. This may be interfering with our version of the GA tracking code that you're also using in your site, so you can try removing your extra GA code and see if that makes a difference.

If so, and if you're sure you still need to use that extra GA code, then you may need to stick with using Google's standard GA tracking code tailored to your needs, instead of using our version of the GA code. You can only use our version as-is everywhere, or use the standard code from GA everywhere; they cannot be combined or mix'n'matched. We can really only support our version of the GA code, and only if it's used as-is without modifications or additions.

Also bear in mind that Analytics-style tracking depends on javascript and cookies, so any given buyer's browser may have settings or add-on extensions/toolbars that can block or otherwise interfere with those functions in a way that thwarts tracking. See the last section of the first page I linked above for an explanation of what tracking is still good for, in light of this inherent potential for imprecision.

I was wondering where that GA code in the thank you settings came from. I deleted it out... We'll see what happens. Thanks for the help :)
