I'm having a problem with the accounting for my account. The numbers don't add up. For Items Sold the records read 507. For Number Transactions the numbers read 481. The total sale amount reported is $476.30. Each sale is for $0.99 USD. When I multiply that by the items sold or by the Number Transaction, neither come to the reported $476.30. My Pay Pal account shows a balance of $344.79. This reflects the total balance after they have taken out their fee of $0.33 usd per item. When I multiply my net of $0.66 per item profit by either of your numbers ( Items sold or Number Transaction) I don't get $344.79. Could you please check this out and tell me if I'm reading or doing the math incorrectly? Either way, I need to arrive at Pay Pal's numbers. # POSTED ON: November 9, 2007 @ 13:00 GMT -7 |

You need to multiply 507 (items sold) with .99 and compare that with the total payments received in your PayPal account (before fee) as PayPal charges fee per transaction, not per item. There might still be a discrepancy if PayPal did not send us IPN for a transaction and we could not record/process them or if there were some refunds/reversals/canceled reversals (we only started logging refunds/reversals/canceled reversals recently and we can't log them in some cases). # POSTED ON: November 9, 2007 @ 13:01 GMT -7 |
