Need help understanding how to use variant, and whether I can use them with my account (had trial). Need to establish this so that I know which subscription level is applicable. # POSTED ON: October 22, 2007 @ 12:37 GMT -7 MODIFIED ON: October 22, 2007 @ 23:31 GMT -7 |

Help for variants is in the "variants" section on the help page (http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.php). A product can have any many variants as you want and it will still be counted as one product for billing purpose. Trial is fully functional. # POSTED ON: October 22, 2007 @ 12:38 GMT -7 |

Yes, I read the variant "Help" section and tried to set it. Unfortunately, I found it difficult to apply it. Perhaps if I explain the products I am working with, you can help me understand what I did wrong, or even whether I can use the variant, based on how my products are set up: I am working with paintings. Painting "A" is available as follows: "Painting A" 07-0130; 16 x 20 limited edition signed print, $XXX.00 07-0125; 11 X 17 limited edition signed print, $XXX.00 07-0115 mini-prints, signed, $XXX.00 How would I set up the variant for something like this? # POSTED ON: October 22, 2007 @ 16:11 GMT -7 |

First of all, you need to check "variants with individual price/sku/inventory". Then in the variants configuration screen, you have to follow the instructions precisely. ------------------------------------- Enter the details of each variant in the box below (one on each line) in the following format: SKU,Price,Ounces,Stock,Option1Value,Option2Value,Option3Value Example: GCS,9.00,32,120,Grey,Cotton,Small BNL,9.50,34,100,Black,Nylon,Large NOTE: The number of Option Values you enter below in AT LEAST ONE LINE must be equal to the number Option Names you have entered above. SKU is the unique code using which you will identify the variant so you should use something which will help you recognize the product easily. SKU should only consist of numbers and alphabets. ----------------------- So what you need to enter for your products is: 07-0130,$XXX.00,1,1,16 x 20 limited edition signed print 07-0125,$XXX.00,1,1,11 X 17 limited edition signed print 07-0115,$XXX.00,1,1,mini-prints signed Since we don't know the stock or weight for your product, 1 is entered for both values. If you are not using our shipping or inventory control option, then it won't matter anyway. # POSTED ON: October 22, 2007 @ 16:14 GMT -7 |
