To make my shop load faster I've compressed my scripts and shop html on my home page, leaving the E-junkie's "box.js" script as one of the largest files to download.

I'm wondering, can this "box.js" script also be compressed, or is it already?
Just a thought: would it work, and be allowed, to use a g-zipped copy of it on my own server? Thanks.

You can use your own copy technically but that is not recommended as we update that file at least once a month and your cart might break if you are using an older copy.

However, we are doing some important updates in the file this month and after that the box.js will be compressed.
