For the pricing on products: does 1 product include as many drop-down options as you want. or if you have 1 product with 3 drop downs...is that considered 4 products.

I have a wood letter product that has 36 ribbon choices. would i not be able to use drop down then? if not, what would be the best way for that?

Sure you can, those are 36 choices in a single drop down. There are no limits to how many choices you can have for an option.
