Reminder: Planned Downtime During May 26 Maintenance - PP-LIVE-2030
Posted by PayPal_Updates on May 24, 2011 1:16:18 PM

REMINDER: This is a reminder that we will be performing system maintenance to improve the reliability and quality of our services starting May 26, 11:00 PM PDT (May 27, 6:00 AM GMT). Please note that the corrected maintenance end time is May 27, 1:00 AM PDT (May 27, 8:00 AM GMT).

During this maintenance window we are expecting to have **PLANNED DOWNTIME** of approximately 25 min which is expected to take place sometime between May 26, 11:00 PM PDT (May 27, 6:00 AM GMT) and May 27, 1:00 AM PDT (May 27, 8:00 AM GMT). As a result, merchants will not be able to process transactions during this time.

During the planned downtime window, the PayPal website (https://www.paypal.com) and PayPal APIs (including Express Checkout) will experience a service interruption and buyers attempting to make payments will be unable to do so. We expect that the majority of API requests will not complete and will fail with error 10001 (Internal Error) or time out. Attempts to log in to www.paypal.com will result in an error message.

Other services that will be down during this maintenance include:
* Website Payments Pro Payflow Edition - API requests submitted during the planned downtime window, will not complete and may fail with errors 1000 (Generic host error), 102 (Processor not available), 104 (Timeout waiting for processor response), 109 (Timeout waiting for host response)
* Batch Processing (batch.paypal.com) - processing of batch requests submitted between May 26, 10:00 PM PDT (May 27, 5:00 AM GMT) and May 27, 1:30 AM PDT (May 27, 8:30 AM GMT) will be delayed.

We will send an update right before the start of the service interruption and another one when our services are back up.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience as a result of this brief interruption. We are doing this update in order to improve the performance of our services, so we appreciate your patience.

This will be one in a series of system updates, so we will make sure to let you know ahead of time when we do our next round of maintenance.

PayPal duplicating a few subscription payments http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/topic/4880/pg/0#post16349 http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/topic/4880/pg/0#post16349 Wed, 15 Dec 2010 00:18:13 GMT
Some caveats:
* It's normal to see a pair of transactions in your PayPal History for each subscription payment: one where PayPal extracts the funds from your chosen funding source (card or bank account), and another where PayPal sends those funds to 19.5 Degrees (E-junkie's parent company).
* Duplicate payments being sent to us may also indicate that you'd inadvertently started two separate subscription plans for the same account; if you are seeing two payments sent to us for different Subscription IDs, see this help page to identify which one is actively linked to your account, so you can find and cancel the other one in your PayPal account:
http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/trouble.multiple-subscriptions.htm

If your PayPal History does indeed show that two payments were SENT to 19.5 Degrees (info@e-junkie.com) for the SAME Subscription ID in the same month, please do notify our Billing staff, so we can research that and issue you a refund if necessary:
