For Scenario 1
Yes, you will need to choose "Variants having individual SKU/Price/weight/stock" feature

The information you put is correct except all three SKUs should be different like SKU1, SKU2 or SKU3 or if you want it to be more descriptive use 3-6M,6-9M,9-12M

For Scenario 2

The information is correct except all six SKUs should be different like GR3-6M, GR6-9M,
GR9-12M, OR3-6M, OR6-9M, OR9-12M]]>

Also for variants what do I do in the following scenario's

Scenario 1. I have the same product in 3 sizes (3-6 months, 6-9 months, 9-12 months), each size has a limited inventory of 100 should I choose the ""Variants having individual SKU/Price/weight/stock"" feature, and will I put the information as below:

productSKU,10,5,100,6-9 months
productSKU,10,5,100,9-12 months

Scenario 2: I have the same product in 2 different colors (grey and orange), each color has 3 different sizes, each size of each color has 50 in inventory
