Like I stated previously, all i really needed was to be pointed in the right direction...and your response did just that. I stepped through each phase of the swf file (preloader, Intro, and the site itself), and noticed that if I placed a shopping cart button on the page with the preloader the "Continue shopping" & "close" buttons worked fine...so it let me know it was a movieclip or code that was present on the page through the site, but after the intro and preloader that was causing the problem...and thats exactly what it was...the music player was the culprit!. Though I haven't figured out why its causing the issue, I at least narrowed down the source...which in troubleshooting, as you may know, is half the battle. So now i can pass my concerns and issues over to a flash-troubleshooting forum

We're almost certain your Flash is getting hung up somehow, maybe your Actionscript is going into a loop triggered by the cart or something like that. Make a very simple Flash test page, the simplest you can whip up based on your current site design, with an E-junkie cart link in it for any random product. See if the problem is reproducible with things boiled down to that basic a level. As to your issue, I find that it only happens on your site, and only in Firefox v2. I'm no Flash wiz, but I reckon there's some sort of conflict between your Flash implementation and the javascript z-indexed overlay that displays our cart, and prolly something related to aspects where IE handles things differently from FF.

BTW, something else I noticed while the cart is "stuck" in FF -- if I click on any other page tabs, the clicks don't register and switch me to those pages right away, but if I switch to a different program window (in XP) entirely, then switch back to FF, the cart screen finally disappears and all those tab clicks "catch up" to what I had clicked before, rapidfire in order. Seems something is somehow suspending the browser from responding to any click inputs at all (such as closing the cart overlay, but I can apparently check items to remove and Update Cart, hmm...) -- may be something that's happening even before the cart displays, right after clicking an item to add to the cart?

Apparently the "continue shopping" & "close buttons only stick if the browser is maximized to fill the the screen (ie by pressing the "box" button between "underscore" and "x" in the upper right hand corner of the current browser window.

If the site is viewed in a smaller window, the buttons seem to work perfectly/.

im not sure why they refuse to respond...i understand they recieve alot of questions. but its been weeks with several e-mails sent and still i get no response.

this is obviously a bug with the shopping carts compatibility with browsers.

as a paying customer, i must say i feel a little slighted.... but i'm not closing the door. i just expect some type of support/customer service.

After testing e-junkie's shopping cart on several computers (on different networks) running Firefox .v2, I get inconsistnet results. Sometimes the "Continue Shopping" & "Close" buttons work, other times they do not...but again this is soley in firefox. The shopping cart works as it should in IE. In firefox, when either of the two buttons are clicked, there's no response. The only way to close the cart, is either refreshing the web-page or selecting my "Google Checkout" button...neither of which are good, because they don't return the user back to site...btw my site was created in flash not html

also im getting little to no response from e-junkie's support team either. I sent my problem to them via their submission form, and got a response from: Robin K (robin@e-junkie.com)...stating:

after sending follow-up e-mails i continually get no response...though it may work on the setup they (e-junkie, Robin K) tried there. It dones't work on several computers with fire fox 2 that ive tried. 1.) After site loads, skip intro
2.) Select 'Products' from the left navigation
3.) Click 'View & Buy Album' for the first product.
4.) Underneath the list of songs, click the shopping cart button that correspsonds and is directly across from ' Buy & Download Album Digitally'




Also, as for the checkout button missing from time to time, after I input the "Google Checkout" merchant info, the yellow button was replaced with the Google Checkout button...and at the current time its is working perfectly.
