Basically PayPal is an eBay company and they don't want to loose thier business to competitors. Officially they say that Google Checkout has not got a proven track record that consumers can trust.

Some merchants do sell on eBay and then send buyers an invoice from their Google Checkout account. That works well for tangible items. However if you want to sell digital items, what you can do it is to send the purchase link you get from E-junkie to your buyer either manually or using an auto-responder.]]>
