Yes, that is correct.

E-junkie gets shipping rates directly from USPS and we can also get rates from UPS for UPS ground shipping. The rate is looked up at the time the order is placed. We also allow for a flat rate shipping option. Here is a link to our shipping FAQ page:

Hi,

We understand that PayPal Pro uses a flat-rate shipping system, and that eJunkie uses USPS calculated shipping based on weight and distance.

Do we understand correctly?

If so, it would seem that eJunkie is the preferred method, assuming USPS is an acceptable carrier.

Please confirm.

There is no code to place in your product pages when you configure an E-junkie Cart Discount -- the discount just gets applied automatically.

I think maybe you are mixing up Fat.Free.Cart button codes with E-junkie, but those are two entirely separate systems; you cannot use Fat.Free.Cart codes with an E-junkie cart, and in fact, E-junkie is much easier to configure, by using your E-junkie Seller Admin.

I think we have already answered your question via email, but just for the record here:

If you create a Cart Discount without entering anything on the Discount Code line, then the discount you specify will be applied automatically based on the criteria you selected. E.g., if you define such a discount with a minimum order total of 100.00, then any order totaling that much or greater would automatically get the discount, without you having to "do" anything to enable it, other than creating the discount in the first place.

For us, opting out of first-class mail would be a very big upgrade. We'd much rather have a consistent scheme that we can rely upon, versus what we have now: a scheme chooses the shipping service for us without asking.

You can configure the product to ship one item in a small box (and just consolidate into one larger box when warranted) or to ship X number of items in a large box (and just use a smaller box when warranted); either way, you should wind up coming out a bit ahead, so you could pocket the slight difference.

If we removed the rate-comparison to apply the cheapest rate, then we'd still need some way to choose which rate to apply, or otherwise we'd lock all of our Merchants into just one service across the board for everyone; most Merchants just wanted the cheapest of the most universally-applicable methods available, which is why we have the system we use now. The alternative would involve providing some way for the Merchant or Buyers to choose or opt-out of some particular shipping service, but making that a voluntary choice (rather than the automatic system we have now) involves some backend and interface development that, as I said above, isn't ready for prime-time yet.

It would *really* be helpful if you could at least allow an option to use priority mail shipping rates.

It looks like you are calculating the priority mail price and the non-priority mail price and picking the cheaper-- is that correct? If so, why can't you just *not* pick the cheaper one? It seems like it should be easier than what is happening now.

We calculate shipping using USPS standard rate till 13 ounces and then USPS priority.

As for packaging, I understand your scenario but you can only choose one packaging type for your product. You can say that you will ship it in a small box and one one of it will fit in the the small box or you can say it will go in a large box and 4 of it will fit in the large box.

Shipping and packaging calculation is not an exact science .. it's more of a "fuzzy logic". So if you sell a lot of singles, you should set up "small box" for your product. If you sell a lot of multiple quantities, you should use "large box" option.

My mugs each have a shipping weight of 18 oz which includes packaging weight. I can fit one mug in a small box, two mugs in a regular box, and four mugs in a large box. I'm not sure how I set this up so that the proper shipping is applied to the order.
I ship USPS priority, and it seems that the calculator on e-junkie is set for a higher priced shipping, can this be edited to the Priority pricing?
When I ship one mug, the maximum shipping cost in the U.S. is no more than $7.50, however this is coming up higher in e-junkie. When I send out two mugs, I ship USPS priority flat rate which is $8.95.
When a customer orders multiple mugs, which can be different products, how do I set it up so that e-junkie calculates the shipping properly? For example, if a customer orders:

1 Classic Blue mug
1 Classic Green/Blue mug
I personalized Blue mug
1 Mug Revolution Promo mug

Then the shipping should be for the large box, which would hold 4 mugs. How do I get this set up properly?
