E-junkieChefI can't say .. that's why this is not a recommended method of doing it.
Doesn't make sense to me. You own the product. You should know what happens and can tell me what problems might arise, no?

Lemonbar, we know what happens when it's used the way it's supposed to be used. If you are using it without goign through our buttons, we can't say what issues you might face.]]>

Yes

lemonbarSo you are saying if I set it up as a special reduced price then it wont transfer through?

No, we won't process it.

lemonbarWhat other problems might I encounter if these things are done correctly?

If you have our IPN URL in your PayPal settings, and if you have the item number, your PayPal email and the price right, E-junkie will process the sale.

This is not related to how things work for eBay, as eBay IPN has other variables which we look for too to ensure its from eBay.

Since this is not the recommened method of doing things, you are on your own if you run into any issues.]]>

I used PayPal create buttons/code and got everything to setup right as far as I now.

But the questions still remain, what problems will this cause?

If the Title and Item Number are correct then it will trigger e-junkie to act on it right or is there some otehr type settings that must be in there?

Just as whenever I sell something on PayPal you get notice of it too even if it has nothing to do with e-junkie products. Isnt this right?

As I listed in the one-way discsussion above (lol) it seems that it is the same as buying on ebay. Quantity can't be checked of course.

What other problems am I going to cause doing it this way?]]>

When a payment comes into paypal you still get the notice and send out the 'stuff'.

After re-reading my posts above for context, does anybody know what problems doing this would cause?

I need someone that knows e-junkie well and in great detail to help me with this.]]>

That is essentially how our Buy Now buttons already operate.

lemonbari do see a page on paypal that lets us set the item name and item number, price, etc. and then creates code for us.

That would be for PayPal's own cart/buy-now service, which has nothing to do with ours. By going with their code examples, you would essentially be abandoning our services entirely.

FWIW, although our service has been operating at normal speed today (requiring only a fraction of our full-load capacity), I am aware of widespread routing glitches, bottlenecks and traffic jams across the Internet today -- Cox.net cable-internet subscribers in particular seem to have been rather harshly affected. Perhaps a major backbone provider had some issues today, which shunted more traffic onto other backbones which got more jammed than usual, etc. -- sorta like when a major arterial street gets closed due to a major accident or construction, so all the nearby side streets and minor arterials get jammed with the detoured traffic.]]>
