But robots.txt might be a bad idea as a hacker might like to check your robots.txt file simply to see what all are you trying to hide ;)

1. add an index.html page to the folder (or what every your default page is, could be .php etc)
This will display instead of the list of files.

2. Ask your host if you can identify the folder to change the ability to list the files.

be sure to use disallow the search engines from indexing the files using the robots.txt file]]>
