If it's set as a 1x-use code, then it can be used exactly once. If you also did not require a Minimum Order Amount for that discount code, and if the order total was less than the discount amount, then the code would be accepted but any discount remainder beyond the actual order total would be forfeited.

If there was some misunderstanding in this regard between you and your customer, perhaps you could create a special discount code good for the remaining amount and only disclosed to the affected customer for their personal use.]]>

I issued a $20.00 gift certificate to one of my customers with a 1x use that expires at the end of the 2008. Today she informed me that she used $3.99 of her gift certificate last month and when she went to use the rest today it stated that her discount code is expired. I am not sure why she is getting this message since she has $16.01 left on her gift certificate and it does not expire until 12/31/08. Can someone please help me with this?
