However, using that scheme, only the supplier/coauthor could earn an Affiliate commission on sales of their own products, and you would probably not want them earning commission on sales of other products.

If you instead just want to run your Affiliate program normally (not using the scheme described at the link above), then you could simply use the Multiple Emails version of our Integration feature to inform each coauthor when a copy of their book had been sold:

Bear in mind that the email message they would receive would be a fairly raw data report which cannot be formatted nor had extra information, but this would at least suffice as notification that a buyer had ordered their product. Then you could manually calculate their monthly cut of revenue by going to Seller Admin > View/Download Transaction Log, set the date range to a full month (e.g. 1Feb09-28Feb09), select their product from the menu and View Log, then if you wish download that log view to a spreadsheet file for calculation.]]>

I'm considering E-Junkie, but I want to make sure it's capable of doing what I need. My products have co-authors who receive a sales commission on their particular products and affiliates who get a commission on sales they refer. Some of my partners are both affiliates and co-authors. I'm planning to use E-Junkie with PayPal and Google Checkout for my shopping cart and your built-in solution for my affiliate program. There's one co-author permanently tied to each product, so my I can assign that commission based on which product is sold with no other data needed.

I need to find a way to inform my co-authors when their particular product sells. I understand that I'll get a notification and can inform them manually, but I'd really like to automate it. Is there a way to have a sale trigger the system to send a pre-written email for each product sold? All I really need is something along the lines of "Your product, XXXX, has just made a sale and we've credited your account with $XXX."

If that's not possible, do you have any other suggestions on how I can set them up with an automatic notification? I don't want to send out any customer information or data on the rest of the purchase, just let them know that they've made a sale.

Thanks!]]>
