"Have fun while you produce more" can have two meanings in regard to my self-help eBook, The Magic Number Technique; it is one of the benefits of using the Technique (taking the "sting" out of work while you improve your productivity), and it refers also to a bonus interactive Web Player Book version of the eBook and a puzzle/exploration game, The Secret Treasure Path, that are accessed through the eBook.

The Magic Number Technique is a simple method I developed about fifteen years ago to help make project-type work easier for me to handle. In the process, I discovered that I also improved my focus on each task, increased my productivity, overcame procrastination, and had fun while doing it. At the time I used it only at my job, and when I quit the job I let the Technique languish. In the last year, however, while working on my business, I ran into productivity/procrastination problems again. I remembered the Technique and decided to try it out on my current products, only to find that my productivity shot way up, and I would actually lose track of time, sometimes staying up until the early hours of the morning. In fact, I used the Magic Number Technique to help me create the eBook, the Web Player Book, the game, and my Website design. My Inner Slacker was furious, but my Inner Worker was pleased! I had tried other self-help systems to improve my productivity, but somehow they didn't seem practical enough. My technique combines a practical approach with "reframing" (viewing work from a different perspective) and visualization, and that seemed to do the trick.

The Technique can be learned in about a day, and it's also very flexible; you can customize it to your own way of thinking, your own way of doing things.
