Whenever a buyer clicks an affiliate's hop link for your affiliate program, we set a referral cookie good for 6 months in that buyer's browser and then redirect the buyer to your hop link's landing URL. That buyer can use your E-junkie Cart or Buy Now buttons to purchase an affiliate-eligible product anytime during the lifespan of that referral cookie, and that will ensure the referring affiliate earns a commission according to the share percentage you set.

Note that our affiliate system will only work if you are using E-junkie purchase buttons to take online orders; it will not work as a freestanding add-on affiliate service with any other, non-E-junkie purchasing system.

This help page explains more about our affiliate system and how to set that up to work with your E-junkie purchase buttons:

Trying to teach affiliates how to modify their links so that they can get credit for a sale seems counter productive. Most affiliates are not tech savvy, and would find it easier to promote another program where all they have to do is copy and paste their links...

It is crucial for anyone with advanced sales funnels that they be able to pass/store affiliate variables. Anyone who desires to follow up with prospects via email, has to have a system in place where the affiliate who sent that lead gets credited with the sale. That sale may not come instantly, it may come after the 5th or 6th follow up email...

No affiliates are going to send traffic to a page with a optin form, unless they are assured that will be credited with every sale. The LTV of a prospect is much higher with a followup sequence in place...

Do you think this is something that you guys would consider implementing?

I understand that it may very well turn out that the majority of your publishers are less savvy and do not need such functionality. If that is the case, or it turns out that this is not something that you guys can do in the near future, please let me know so that I can offer my client another solution.

Thanks for the reply mate...

Cheers!

E.g., if the seller sets up their hop link landing page URL like so:

http://www.example.com/store.php

...and if the affiliate gets their hop link for that seller's program and adds some custom parameters to their URL like so:

https://www.e-junkie.com/ecom/gb.php?ii=120525&c=ib&aff=XXX&cl=YYY&a=b&xyz=123

...then a buyer clicking through that hop link would be redirected to the seller's landing page URL like so:

http://www.example.com/store.php?a=b&xyz=123]]>

I tried the solutin The E-Junkie Chef suggested but it doesn't work - the affiliate ID isn't passed trough even when I add the &passaff=true to the link...

Any more suggestions?!?! ;-))

Many greetings,

I guess browser ignores the e-j URL as we are simply doing a 301 redirect to you.

Anyway, we have added a feature to accommodate your requirement. We now pass the affiliate's client id to your url by appending &ej_aff_id=XXXX, where XXXX is affiliate's client ID to your hoplink as long as you have ?passaff=true OR &passaff=true present in the hop link.

Does that mean I can get the affiliate value by $_GET['ej_aff_id'] ???? Do I have to add the &passaff=true manually to the Hoplink?

I would be great if this was done automatically because I believe most of my affiliates are not technically good enough and they will forget to do it.

Thanks for your help! :-)

Does anyone know the php how I can extract the affiliate ID from the Hoplink my affiliates use because I want to put that into an aweber form... ;-)

Sounds complicated, but I want to track the prospects my affiliates send also through aweber - because they get a follow up - and maybe order from another computer...

The hop link links to my opt-in page (which is then re-directed to my salespage... ;-) )

I would appriciate any help!!! :-))

Thank you!! :-))

Many greetings from Germany!!
