If you do not redirect to your site after checkout and instead just use the standard E-junkie-generated thank-you page, then E-commerce tracking will also work for other payment processor checkouts, but ONLY if/when the buyer views their thank-you page. Note you do NOT need to add tracking code to your E-junkie thank-you page, which already includes the necessary code.

Buyers purchasing a download should always view their E-junkie thank-you page at some point in order to claim their download, but they may not always view a thank-you page at all if they only purchase tangible goods. See "Notes on conversion tracking" at the top of our Tracking help page for an explanation of what checkout methods can/cannot auto-redirect buyers to a thank-you page, and under what conditions:

Google Checkout payments will automatically send payment data to Google E-commerce tracking (which is distinct and separate from regular Analytics tracking), so you would need to disable all other payment processor methods in your E-junkie account profile to take full advantage of that. This is integrated at Google's end through your Google Checkout account and does not involve us at all.

If you have specified a Common Thank-you Page URL in your Admin > Account Preferences, then you should also put our version of Google Analytics tracking code in that thank-you page on your site.]]>

"E-junkie cart buttons are pre-integrated with Google Analytics. When you use E-junkie Cart buttons, we take care of context transfer and also ensure that we don't report duplicate sales if the buyer returns to their thank-you page again. Not only that, you can also track which buttons a buyer is clicking on your site."

So, with the code appearing on each page where there are cart buttons, I should see e-commerce information without the need for any other code - is that correct?

Also, I had set my thank you page as my home page in the general cart settings (probably when I first was testing the cart out). That means my customers have been seeing the home page instead of an e-junkie thank you page correct? Is that the reason that I have not been logging any e-commerce information?

Sorry for the long post, but I couldn't get the exact answers from any other posts. Thanks in advance.]]>
