If you do not want to use the US Postal Service live rate-lookups we do currently support, then you can configure a custom shipping calculation method. You may find it helpful to know the basic formula we follow when calculating shipping charges:

(rate X (total product wt. + container wt.)) + (container cost) + (handling cost)

Note that you can "game" the formula by applying non-literal figures for various settings, so the formula adds up the way you want. See some examples on our Shipping help page here:

I just did a paid sign up - newbie. I am facing a issue with shipping settings and could use some here. All of my products already have a setup for shipping using UPS & Fed Ex. I do not what to use E-Junkies shipping settings. What I like to do is add on my own shipping cost "already set for my products" in the product page. So, if the buyer decides to buy the product they will also have a choice to chose which type of shipping they would like, regular ground, 2nd day, next day and so on. Once they click the type of shipping it will total with product price and tax.

Is there any place in the add product page I can set the type of shipping for the buyer to pick from without using the E-Junkie shipping set-up page?

Thanks for any help in this area,

Louis]]>
