Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm downloading a 24MB file now and getting around 15kB/sec.

To make sure my connection was OK, I went to YouTube and clips from that are playing with no problems! And a BBC podcast downloads at @ 115kB/sec. Not very scientific, I know; but I think that my connection is not the bottleneck.

It seems to be a couple of files that are slow - other files download at about 95kB/sec!]]>

I'm having similar issues. Upload speeds are very slow. Download speeds are 10kbps on a broadband connection. Some files seem to download faster than others.

Also, some customers have reported pdfs taking around 45 minutes to download a 24MB file.]]>

There seems to be some speed issues with newly added products. This was brought to my attention from a customer complaining of download speeds.

For example, I have two products (one old and one newly created) that I remotely host on my own web server.

I tested downloading both files directly from my web server and the speed is perfectly fine. (500-600Kb/s)

Using an e-junkie link to download the older product, the item downloads perfectly fine.

Using an e-junkie link for the newer product, the item downloads at a really slow rate (15-40Kb/s).

I've played with adding new products, etc, but the end result is the same. I am getting the slow rate no matter what I do. Again, downloading directly from my web server still gets me the fast speed for any and all files.

I'm not quite sure what the problem is here. If the file is hosted remotely and my web server is provisioning the faster speed, why are the downloads so slow for newly created products?]]>
