You could define a product-specific discount that would kick in automatically when buyers order 3 or more widgets, to markdown the price of every widget they order (not just those after the first 2). E.g., you could sell them priced at 7.95 each for the first 2 widgets, or 5.95 each if they order 3 or more.

To do this, after you have created the widget product priced at 7.95 in your E-junkie Seller Admin, go to Seller Admin > Cart Discounts and configure a discount for that specific product, with Min Items In Cart = 3, and a Discount amount of 2.00.
