We would recommend keeping your E-junkie-generated thank-you emails as brief and to-the-point as possible, because the more words and URLs you add to an email, the greater risk you run that it would be flagged as spam and auto-filtered into the buyer's spam folder where they likely won't ever look for it. Ideally, just stick with our default thank-you email, which simply confirms which product was ordered and provides a link to the thank-you/download page, and don't add any extra customization to it, then you can customize the thank-you/download page itself however you wish:

Firstly just to commend you on what a brilliant solution you offer. I really think it's a brilliant idea.

My question is regarding the sale and delivery of pc game serial codes to customers buying from my website. Once a customer pays, they receive a .pdf file with the code inside it (using a neat .pdf makes it look better + saves me time). My only problem is that in the past I have had fraudsters using hijacked paypal accounts to buy the one-time-use code and immediately receiving their direct download, after which I have then later had the true owner contacting me and requesting a refund. Obviously since the code has been used by then i then find myself in a difficult situation.

In order to avoid such problems, ideally I would like the customer to be brought to the "thank you" page after payment, but where they do not receive the download, and instead are told to go and check their email inbox which is linked to their paypal account. There they receive a "thank you" email containing the download link to the unique pdf file on your servers. In this way i make it more difficult for scammers as they have to have both the email and paypal credentials of the user to gain access to the download.

Is this possible? Can the customer receive two separate "thank you" messages automatically- one in their browser just to confirm purchase, and one in their email inbox containing the actual download link to the product? Also is it actually possible for each customer that orders the same "product" to be sent a different unique .pdf file with their serial key, or do i have to revert to only sending the code in plain text format? I stress the importance of this all happening automatically and without me having to intervene, as I need to be able to promise "instant" delivery of products.

I would really appreciate any advice and help on this subject.

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you,

Matt]]>
