Just bear in mind that items posted on different domains cannot be added to any given buyer's cart together, since the cart contents are tracked by setting a cookie on the domain of the site where the cart is being used, thus different domains = different carts.]]>

I understand the "uncharted territory" aspect...
but it may be worth the risk for what i need to do.

I appreciate the detailed response,
I like the idea of continuing to use e-junkie for my products and now new this site.

However, my product count will balloon from 8 to 100+ pretty quickly..
So, any advice for managing multiple sites w/numerous products etc..
can you link me to some e-junkie "organization" tips?

Thanks again for all your help]]>

If you can find an mp3 player to embed in your site which allows you to specify the URLs of the purchase buttons in the player, then you could simply use the href= URLs of your E-junkie purchase buttons for the player's purchase buttons. This help page explains how to extract the bare URL from the button codes we provide in Seller Admin:
http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/tips.button-code.url.htm

If that will not work, then as long as you are using PayPal as your sole payment processor and do not need to configure PayPal IPN for any other purpose, then you may be able to adapt our eBay integration instructions to use with that third-party player/cart solution and PayPal:
http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.ebay.htm

Essentially, you would configure your PayPal IPN settings manually as described in those instructions, so PayPal would inform our system whenever they complete a payment for you. Our system would look at the PayPal Email which received the payment and look for an E-junkie account with a matching PayPal Email, then it would look at the Item Name for the payment and look for a matching Item Name in that E-junkie account's products. If a match is found for a product with a download, then the buyer's PayPal email would be sent a thank-you email with a link to reach a thank-you page for that product where the download link would be presented.

Bear in mind this use of our system would be considered an unsupported hack, so although we'd be happy to explain how to find and use any of our settings properly, we may not be much help in troubleshooting any problems you may encounter with this arrangement, as this would be "uncharted territory" for us.]]>

See,
I want the e-junkie "back end" working behind the scenes,

but I NEED a paypal-integrated player/cart for the front end. (absolute must)

Ultimately, I am selling HQ instrumentals to artists here , not 99 cent mp3 songs.

Presentation is extremely important,
I wont get a single sale with 50 different players, each with a cart button,
its just impractical. AND messy!

I dont understand why i cant use whatever i want in the front,
and just link its buy buttons to the e-junkie button code.

This is still not making sense to me.]]>

Will E-Junkie "co-exist" with xml/flash carts like these?
http://activeden.net/browse/tags/features/mp3

I feel that using one of those, alongside e-junkie, would be the perfect combo.

I need security for files, and i dont trust myself with it all (hosting links etc..)
Somehow, I want the player/cart on my site only populated by "tagged" LQ preview mp3
and then upon sucessful payment, e-junkie delivers the HQ "un-tagged" file

This seems the only way i can figure it out,
Anyone have any advice for me?]]>
