As you can see there, we automatically collect every buyer's name and email, and we add those to a Buyer Group list we maintain for each product they purchased. For checkout methods that support it, we offer the buyer an opt-in checkbox to join your list(s); PayPal does not support such an option, so all PayPal buyers would be added to your list(s) by default. You can also obtain buyer names/emails from your E-junkie Transaction Log and in the Sale Notification email we send you for each order.]]>

I had a few quick questions about customer autoresponders.

I am setting up my website and I really have no need to get the expensive A-List Autoresponders like Aweber, GetResponse, etc. My plan is to simply collect names and email address from people who visit my website by using a lower priced, one-time autoresponder software that I plan on purchasing.

With that being said, I will be selling an Ebook through E-junkie via a Paypal account very soon. So my questions are:

1. Do I need to pay for my own autoresponder software or service just to get the name and email address information about each buyer from E-junkie?

2. Also, either way, is there a way to have the buyer “agree or disagree” to receive any follow up emails from me at the point of purchase for my product?

The reason I ask is because my plan is to simply add that information to my more economical, less advanced autoresponder mailing list----------either manually or by maybe copying and pasting.

As always, thanks in advance for your response.
