You are reading Guru's post correctly. It is impossible for GA to collect e-commerce tracking details if you are using a common thank you page.

If you get rid of the common thank you page we'll display our own generated thank you pages after each order and that will allow GA to collect e-commerce tracking details. You will not need to customize our generated thank you pages to do this, it will be automatic.]]>

Like I said, I currently have GA capturing data, and I used goals to measure conversions with thank you page hits. Is this what you said in your first paragraph? I am already doing this with no problems.

Does your second paragraph say the following?

WARNING!! IF YOU ARE USING A COMMON THANK YOU PAGE, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GA TO COLLECT ECOMMERCE TRACKING DETAILS!!

Am I reading what you wrote incorrectly? Or, is there a way to add a code snippet that sends the information to GA? I really would like to keep the common thank you page, but also have GA collect ecommerce tracking details. Please tell me how to do this.

best,

However, redirecting buyers to a Common Thank-you Page URL means that we cannot add other E-commerce Tracking details to your page for GA to pick up, which our standard thank-you pages would normally do automatically. If you remove the redirection to your site's Common Thank-you Page URL, then you won't need to add any tracking code to your E-junkie-generated thank-you pages, and those will automatically be populated with E-commerce Tracking details for GA to pick up.]]>

I have read through many forum posts on this, but I cannot seem to figure out where the disconnect is.

My site is:

http://www.AstraArchery.com -- I only sell real products, no downloads.

I am using e-junkies supplied google analytics code from: http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/help.tracking.htm

I have people get redirected to a common thank you page.

I successfully set up goals that tracks thankyou page hits, but I would love to get the ecommerce side of the tracking working correctly.

One thing I did do differently is that I am using a different graphic for "add to cart" or "view cart." I basically created a transparent image of the same size as my "buttons," and have the graphic sit over top. The shopping cart works perfectly, but no ecommerce tracking.

Please help!
