If you Add to Cart an item there, you'll find the cart shows a link to add a Backup CD for that item, and removing the main item from the cart also removes its CD item. They set that up on their own using some custom javascript, so we can't tell you how it's done, but you could examine their page source or contact them to ask for pointers. How can I add the Backup CD product as a cart item on every order?

Buyers must be able to remove the item if they wish, but I want it added to the cart as a separate item after users select to buy the software.
