If your product is a subscription to an email series, rather than a file download, you would not use the Single File Download setting for that product.

After the buyer finishes checkout and the payment processor confirms the buyer's payment was good and completed, we grant the buyer access to a unique thank-you page we generate for each transaction. This page is where we would automatically present the buyer's unique download link(s) (if they had purchased any) along with any thank-you page customization you had added in your account/product settings. Depending on which payment processor was used for checkout, the buyer may need to click a link on the payment processor's checkout site after they finish checkout in order to proceed to a thank-you page.

@whispers: you would only need to enable "Send Transaction Data to a URL" if you wanted us to forward the order details to a custom/3rd-party script for additional processing after we're done processing the order for you. That setting is not necessary if you're just using E-junkie to sell and issue download links.]]>

but I can say that this 'does' in fact work with files 'not' downloaded through e-junkie.

For example, I have all my 'products' located on my own server...

my process is:

1.) add product
*add name
*email title (optional)
*check single file download
*check send transaction data to url (not sure if this is needed by you or not)
*check enable template email
*I leave PRODUCT SPECIFIC EMAIL message blank.. (I use 1 email for whole order, not 1 email sent per product ordered)
*add price

next screen

2.)
*set download attemps
*remote product file URL (path to the item on my server)

next screen

3.)
* here you can put some more text/html that gets displayed UNDER the download link (maybe a quick description of the item?)

thats all "I" do.. and I get sent to a thank you page after payment (paypal) as the re-direct after payment completion....

this is also the same page I get when I click the link in my general thank you email.]]>

However, I don't get sent to a thank you page, I just get the email responder as set up with my product.

Does the thank you page only work then with products downloaded via ejunkie?

Thanks]]>
