It's probably my fault that I haven't explained things well enough. Meanwhile, I'd like to get this done. So what I'm going to do is set up a second account.

Is there anything special needed to do that? Will it require a different email address or can I use the same one?

If you are able, I'd like to be be considered under the really cool offering program you have. I can provide you with a free copy of my eBook, "The Doctor Who Cures Cancer."]]>

To fix this, you simply need to go into your E-junkie Seller Admin and click Edit Profile, make sure your ClickBank Vendor ID matches the CB account that your affiliates have joined. It's probably also a good idea to change your Secret Key in that CB account and in your E-junkie Profile, to make sure they match exactly.

It may help to understand how CB affiliate referrals actually work. Clicking a CB affiliate link sets a referral cookie in the buyer's browser and then redirects the buyer to your sales page. Setting a cookie works basically like giving the buyer a "ticket stub" as proof of their affiliate referral, so they can show that "stub" to CB's checkout site later. When the buyer proceeds to checkout with CB, their checkout site looks for that affiliate-referral cookie stored in the buyer's browser. If it finds the cookie, it compares the CB account running that affiliate program with the CB account receiving the checkout payment. If they're the same CB account, they will credit the referring affiliate for a commission; if they're not the same CB account, or if there's no referral cookie detected at all, no commission is granted.]]>

With Clickbank there is an identifying link that they use to make sure the proper affiliate gets credit. But with the present set up noe get credit.

So it is not working. Yes the reader would get his copy, but the affiliate wouldn't get the sale.]]>

Sales page #2 is for affiliates. This is a separate sales page for the affiliates because on sales page #1 buyers have the option of buying the physical book. Affiliates would get no commission for those sales. So to avoid affiliates losing a sale simply because a buyer prefers the paperback, they send their prospects to sales page #2 which has a different URL and gives the buyer only one option: the ebook version of the book.

Thus it looks to me like I would need two ejunkie accounts, right?]]>

However, so far you haven't described what you intend to do with a second account that you can't already do with your existing account, so I'm not clear why you'd even need a second account at all? If you could describe in more detail what you want to accomplish, we can explain how to set that up.

I see your site's main homepage leads to an order page where you have a Buy Now button for ClickBank to order the eBook, plus a link to your CreateSpace sales page to buy the physical book, so it seems you may already have everything covered?]]>

The physical book is print-on-demand and is handled by the Amazon subsidiary Createspace. They handle everything. I don't ship from here or from a fulfillment company. So I'm afraid your suggestion doesn't fit into the system.

Can you provide me with a second e junkie account? That would be the simplest remedy, wouldn't it?]]>

First click on Edit Profile in your E-junkie Seller Admin, and enter your PayPal Email there (the email address you use to log into PayPal), and click Submit to save changes. Then click on Add Product in your Seller Admin, disable Single File Download and enable Shipping/Buyer's Address, and click Next until you can Submit the new product and reach the button codes screen. Copy either the Add to Cart button code or the Buy Now button code for PayPal, and paste that into the sales page for your physical book.

You can just include shipping costs in the book's full price and call it "free shipping", or if you use a Cart button (not a Buy Now button), you can have our cart calculate a shipping charge for each buyer:

One sales page doesn't work in this case because there are two formats for the book. Affiliates don't want to use a sales page where they would not get credit which is what happens sometimes if the person ends up buying the softcover book.

Clickbank does not allow the sales of physical products through their system.

So we have a sales page dedicated to affiliates where they offer only the eBook version of the book.

To simplify things, maybe your company could provide me with a second ejunkie account under the really cool product/projects. I thought of applying for it the first time around but decided you guys need to be paid just like any other business.

"The Doctor Who Cures Cancer" is an extraordinary true story that needs to be told far and wide. This book has resulted in doctors deciding to use the Revici Method in their own practices. There is progress in South Africa and the Philippines to open clinics there. One internationally known professor told me personally that my book led him to changing his own line of research dramatically.

My book has also been the inspiration for reprinting Revici's own book and will be available to the scientific community in the next month or so.

Some lay readers have said my is the best book by far in its category.

I can barely pay my own bills despite the wonderful acceptance of the book itself. Otherwise I'd simply spring for a second membership myself.]]>

Post #2 http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/topic/5813/pg/0#post20653 http://www.e-junkie.com/bb/topic/5813/pg/0#post20653 Wed, 21 Mar 2012 01:34:32 GMT http://www.thedoctorwhocurescancer.com/index-cb.php, you currently appear to be using E-junkie Buy Now buttons for ClickBank, which is correct if you want us to deliver downloads for those sales. These buttons will send buyers to checkout for whatever ClickBank Vendor ID you have specified in your E-junkie Profile. If that Vendor ID does not match the CB account whose affiliates are sending buyers to that page, those affiliates will not get credit for the sale.

Make sure the ClickBank Vendor ID and Secret Key in your E-junkie Seller Admin > Edit Profile screen matches your ClickBank account for the affiliates who are sending buyers to that landing page. You or your webmaster may want to review our CB integration procedure to make sure you've got everything set up correctly:
http://www.e-junkie.com/ej/selling-with-clickbank.htm

Another problem I noticed is that clicking your purchase button opens a new window/tab for ClickBank checkout, but then a script in your page is immediately re-closing that window to present a "WAIT!! Before you go... Get Four FREE Chapters Right NOW!" offer -- i.e., the script is treating buyers as if they're trying to "leave" your site without buying anything, when they're actually just going to ClickBank's checkout site to purchase your product.

If your current webmaster cannot help you sort all this out, we would recommend contacting any of the competent, E-junkie-experienced developers listed in our directory here:

There is an error in the set up somewhere regarding a Clickbank sales page that is dedicated to affiliates who are selling my book "The Doctor Who Cures Cancer." According to my webmaster, the problem is in the way the buy button link is set up. Not blaming you - it most likely is my mistake - just saying that the fix can't be made on the webpage itself.

According to Clickbank, the link goes back to my main sales page instead of giving the affiliates credit for their sales.

Here is the email from Clickbank explaining the error in more detail:

Thank you for your response. The problem with your account is that in your account “canceraff” you have the Hoplink Target URL set to http://www.thedoctorwhocurescancer.com/index-cb.php. However, on the website, instead of having payment links in the following format:

http://1.canceraff.pay.clickbank.net

you have:

http://1.curecancer.pay.clickbank.net

which is your other vendor account. When affiliates where going to the ClickBank Marketplace you only had your “canceraff” account listed. Then when affiliates would choose to promote you product they would create a Hoplink for your account (http://affiliate.canceraff.hop.clickbank.net), however since your Hoplink Target URL website does not have payment links with the vendor nickname “canceraff” then the affiliates are not receiving credit for the sales the generate.

To fix this you will need to change the Payment Links on your website so that they reflect your “canceraff” account or instead of listing your “canceraff” account on the Marketplace list your “curecancer” account.]]>
