Buyer is getting a "download link expired" error

That's because the download link IS expired. Buyers sometime download the file without realizing it or sometime save it in a folder and can't locate. You can confirm the number of downloads and the time of download from Admin > View Transaction Logs.

You can re-activate a download link from Admin > Reactivate download link.

To avoid this issue, we recommend setting the maximum number of downloads attempts in your Product Confiugration to at least 5. Also make sure that you actually have a file associated with the product being sold as the buyers could simply trying the link again and again if you don't have a file associated with the product and they are not getting their download.
